Julie is living proof that you can reach the highest levels within sports without giving up your playful approach. Julie has always been and still is crazy about most forms of sport. Besides being a former player on the national football team, Julie has also developed her movement of talent through snowboarding, beach volley and surfing. When the sun shines, she is the first person on the beach volley court. And when it is windy, she packs up her surfboard and sunglasses and goes flying on the ocean.
Trust and interest
Julie challenges her students existentially and philosophically as a teacher and as part of the everyday life at Gerlev. Her approach is to always meet the students with trust and interest.
Additionally, Julie possesses a never failing courage to take the stage (dressed up as Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, Michael Jackson, a Siamese twin, and many others) – ensuring that Julie will be a teacher you will never forget.
Besides her great passion for football and sports in general, Julie is also very interested in philosophy, theatre sports/improvisational theatre and Argentine tango.
Julie Hauge is originally a public school teacher, and she has worked at Gerlev since 1999. She has followed modules in philosophy at Aalborg University, and she has taken several courses in theatre sports and improvisational theatre.
Julie is a former player on the national football team, having played more than 400 elite division games, 14 national games, 2 Nordic championships with Fortuna Hjørring as well as 6 Danish championships with Fortuna Hjørring and OB.
It is quite natural that Julie is a B-license football coach and regional instructor of football. She is also a trained snowboard instructor from the Austrian skiing school.
In addition to all of this, Julie has also been to Brazil several times to surf or play futevolei – and she was the first person to bring the game to Denmark.
At Gerlev we have gathered some of the country’s best and most engaged teachers.
